Scott joined Wilson Gunn in 2017 and is a qualified Chartered Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney.
Scott has experience in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the UK, Europe and internationally. He has experience in a broad range of fields, but with particular experience in dealing with chemical and pharmaceutical inventions, such as medical devices, wound care technologies, food science, polymers, and pharmaceuticals.
Scott has worked with a large range of clients from individuals and SMEs to universities and large multi-national companies, together with having the experience of managing large patent portfolios for clients across multiple jurisdictions.
Scott’s degree covered a wide range of disciplines in organic, physical and inorganic chemistry, as well as biochemistry and medicinal chemistry. His final year research project was concerned with the synthesis and supramolecular self-assembly properties of a number of zinc and gallium metalloporphyrins.
Scott handles the filing and protection of registered design applications in the UK and overseas and has experience in managing a number of global design portfolios.
