Changes to ‘Address for Service’ rules in the UK
From 1 January 2021, new UK intellectual property applications and oppositions will need a UK address for service.
Wilson Gunn has been named as one of the UK’s top-filing firms of registered designs based on design filing statistics published by the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) earlier this month.
The filing numbers for 2017, published in the December 2018 issue of the CITMA Review, ranked Wilson Gunn 11th in the top 50 UK filers of registered Community designs (RCDs) and 15th in the top 50 UK filers of UK designs.
Ben Appleton, Partner, commented: “Registered designs can be an incredibly useful tool in preventing copycat products and we are pleased to have helped so many of our clients to take advantage of this increasingly popular form of IP protection”.
