Wilson Gunn has maintained its position as a leading patent and trade mark firm in The Legal 500 2017 national rankings.

The Legal 500 is the leading guide to law firms in the UK. Their rankings are based on feedback from 250,000 in-house peers which are independently assessed by their experienced team of researchers.

Wilson Gunn’s “fantastic” trade mark team is ranked in tier two, placing it within the top 25 trade mark firms in the country.  The rankings highlight the expertise of the firm’s partners, including Mark Goodwin; Michael Douglas (“exceptional – user friendly, pro-active, responsive”); James Robey (“always gives straightforward advice”); David Slattery (“pro-active and pragmatic”); and Tim Rose.

The firm has also maintained its national tier three ranking for patents, with more commendations for the team. James Robey is praised for his “depth of knowledge, experience and excellent communication skills” and David Slattery is recommended for advising on high-tech physics and electronics patents. Partners Michael Douglas, Mark Goodwin, Ben Appleton and Senior Associate, Simon Church are also recommended.
