Full time nanny Miriam Stichel had worked for many families over the years and had always been concerned about the possibility of the children she cared for getting hurt in the bath whether a bump or scratch from the faucet or a nasty burn from the hot tap and she set out to find out what products existed to help protect children from just that. Miriam found the world was lacking in a toy that would protect the kids and be easy to keep clean and safe so she set out to create Tappy.
The Tappy safety toy is made from soft neoprene to insulate against the heat of the taps and keep little hands and heads safe and is made in the shape of a smiling octopus to keep kids occupied during bath time.
As the bath fills with water Tappy’s arms dance around wiggle as water flows through the toy, keeping kids happy and smiley while the bath is being made ready. His eight arms are numbered in bright colours so kids can practice their counting and colour recognition skills.
Tappy comes with an easy to fit Velcro strap so it can be easily removed when it’s the grown-ups time to enjoy a bath. Its neoprene material means that is perfectly safe to put in the washing machine, so there is no need to worry about it getting dirty or mouldy.
