EUIPO declares Banksy’s ‘Flower Thrower’ trade mark invalid
The famous graffiti artist’s trade mark was cancelled on the grounds that it was filed in bad faith.
Two members of the Wilson Gunn trade mark team have received awards from the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) for their exceptional achievements on their respective trade mark qualification courses.
Chris Smith achieved the highest mark by a CITMA member on Nottingham Law School’s Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice and Kerry Allen achieved the highest mark by a CITMA member on Bournemouth University’s Post Graduate Certificate in IP Law course.
Michael Douglas, partner at Wilson Gunn, commented: “We are delighted to see the next generation of Wilson Gunn attorneys doing so well in their exams. Chris and Kerry have both worked extremely hard this year and it’s great to see that hard work being recognised. We are proud of their achievements as well as their contribution to our expanding trade mark practice.”
The awards were presented to them at the annual CITMA Christmas Lunch which was held in London last week.
