Changes in costs for Australian patents
An important procedural change is being introduced in the process for obtaining an Australian patent.
The team at Wilson Gunn has expanded with the recruitment of a Senior Associate, Ben Appleton; and two new graduate trainees Matthew Baines and Annabel Williams.
Ben has joined Wilson Gunn from Kraft Foods, where he managed its UK patents department and was responsible for managing the company’s global chocolate technology and European chewing gum and candy technology patent matters. Ben is a chemistry & biochemistry graduate and holds a PhD in chemistry from the University of Leeds, as well as being a Chartered and European Patent Attorney. He has experience in advising on patent and design matters across a wide range of chemical technologies including food chemistry, dyeing and colour chemistry, metallurgy, printing technologies, polymers and personal care products.
Matthew and Annabel have backgrounds in Chemistry and Physics respectively and are training for qualification as Chartered and European Patent Attorneys.
