Victor Povid graduated from the University of North Wales with degree in history and went on to obtain a master’s degree in West African history & politics from the School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London. Victor began his career working in marketing and business consultancy and obtained a master’s degree in management information systems. He later moved into the IP profession, completing the Common Professional Examination before joining a private practice firm in 1994, where he went on to qualify as a UK Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and European Trade Mark and Design Attorney. Victor joined Wilson Gunn’s trade mark team in 2018.
Victor has considerable knowledge and experience in all aspects of trade mark law and practice, including brand creation and clearance, filing and prosecuting trade mark applications in the UK, EU and globally, and contentious matters such as oppositions, revocations and invalidity actions. He also has a wealth of experience in copyright and design issues.
