Tom Gregory graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class master’s degree in physics. His course covered a variety of topics including semiconductor quantum structures, superconductor physics and magnetic storage technology in solid-state physics. Tom also completed a number of computer programming modules throughout his degree. Tom succeeded in completing two final year projects, the first of which focused on electron-beam lithography and microscopy techniques and the second on fast-timing detection systems in nuclear physics.
