Henry Cox graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class master’s degree in physics in 2014 and a Ph.D. in biological physics in 2019. His studies have covered a range of topics including lasers, semi-conductors, electronics, nuclear and quantum physics, and biological physics. His master’s dissertation and PhD have both made use of advanced laser techniques to probe the properties of proteins and peptides. During his PhD he has authored several peer-reviewed articles which cover his work using sub-diffraction limited microscopy techniques to image peptides directly.
Between his two degrees, Henry also worked as a telecommunications engineer at BP, working on projects relating to radar, radio, alarm and safety-critical IT systems. He is also familiar with modern machine learning and data science techniques and applied them during his PhD and whilst completing an internship at a Manchester-based technology start-up in 2018.
Henry joined Wilson Gunn in 2019 and is training to qualify as a Chartered and European Patent Attorney.
