Andrew Teasdale has a degree in applied chemistry and was awarded a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Leeds for his research into palladium catalysed cycloaddition and cyclisation reactions. Andrew went on to undertake post-doctoral research at the University of York, in the field of environmentally-friendly catalysts for use in the chemical industry. Subsequently, Andrew worked in industry as a research and development chemist, developing and optimising synthetic routes for use in industrial-scale production and working on analytical methods to monitor production processes. His work has been the subject of a significant number of research papers and also a patent application. Andrew is a Chartered Chemist and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He joined Wilson Gunn in 2006, having started his training in private practice with another firm. Andrew is qualified as a Chartered and European Patent Attorney.
Andrew specialises in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, catalysis and process development, but he also has experience of other technologies, including mechanical inventions.
Andrew also handles a range of trade mark and design matters. He is a qualified UK Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, and also a European Trade Mark and Design Attorney.
