Wilson Gunn Announces Two New Partners

Ben Appleton and Tim Rose have joined the partnership.

Wilson Gunn, patent and trade mark attorneys, has announced that Ben Appleton and Tim Rose have been made partners in the firm. Both are based in the firm’s Birmingham office.

Ben Appleton joined Wilson Gunn in 2012 as a Senior Associate having spent a number of years as in-house counsel at Cadbury and Kraft Foods, managing the UK patent team and advising the business on a wide range of patent, design and technical matters.  With a PhD in chemistry and biochemistry Ben specialises in patent matters relating to food chemistry, packaging and manufacturing processes.

Tim Rose joined Wilson Gunn in 2010 and is a qualified Registered Trade Mark Attorney and European Trade Mark and Design Attorney.  Tim specialises in all areas of trade mark law, including advising on the use and protection of trade marks, the maintenance of trade mark rights and the management of global trade mark portfolios.

Partner Mark Goodwin commented: “Ben and Tim have made a real impact since they joined our firm; and it was a natural progression for them to be promoted to Partner level. Over recent years we have enjoyed a period of solid growth, a testament to our approach to providing clients with highly focused advice enabling them to make the most commercially from their intellectual property.”
