Oliver Gray joined the profession in 2017 and qualified as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in 2020.

Trade Marks

Oliver has wide-ranging experience of contentious and non-contentious trade mark matters in the UK and overseas.  Oliver can assist clients with the clearance and adoption of a new trade mark, devising an appropriate global protection strategy, and ultimately policing trade mark rights against infringers.

Key projects include:

  • Operating a global trade mark watching service for a major UK supermarket and a leading fashion designer, advising in connection with trade mark policing efforts
  • Managing a UK and EU customs enforcement programme for a world-famous band
  • Successfully leveraging a full rebrand from an established business infringing the rights of a major telecommunications business
  • Completing an urgent multi-jurisdictional clearance project for an international entertainment business
  • Defending a client’s position against a dubious infringement claim from a leading fast-food business and settling the matter before issue of a claim
  • Clearing a trade mark for use in connection with sponsorship of a primetime television programme
  • Settling a multi-jurisdictional dispute concerning household beer and liquor brands
