Managing Associate

Lindsey Wrenn has over 30 years’ experience in the trade mark profession. She began her career working in-house at Unilever plc before moving into private practice and working for a number of law firms. Trade Marks

Lindsey advises on all aspects of trade mark protection from clearance, filing applications in the UK, Europe and internationally through to drafting and negotiating licences, co-existence agreements and assignments. She provides strategic advice on portfolio management and carries out brand audits. She has experience of enforcement and preservation of trade mark rights, including pre-litigation advice and conducting hearings before the UK Intellectual Property Office. She also has extensive experience of launching and defending trade mark opposition, revocation and invalidity proceedings in the UK, EU and internationally.

Lindsey has a very wide network of foreign attorney contacts around the world. This has been built up over her many years in practice and through her involvement with the International Trademark Association (INTA), having attended its annual conference for many years. These relationships enable her to work seamlessly with clients to develop and protect their brand portfolios internationally.

She acts for clients in both the public and private sectors, managing a diverse range of clients with differing brand issues.

Lindsey has lectured at the University of Manchester for the Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law and has contributed to the CITMA/CIPA Community Trade Mark Handbook. She has also lectured internationally, including the annual conference of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC).
