Tom Lambert graduated from the University of Bristol with a masters degree in Aerospace Engineering. He joined Wilson Gunn in 2006 after completing a masters degree in the management of Intellectual Property at Queen Mary, University of London. He is qualified as a Chartered and European Patent Attorney and has particular expertise in aerospace technology including propulsion, aircraft structural engineering, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, control engineering and modelling and simulation. Tom’s final year research for his degree involved creating computational fluid dynamics software for use with morphing wing aircraft and during his studies Tom gained valuable industrial experience with a leading European Aerospace company. Tom’s patent practice also covers a range of other technologies including mechanical and computer-related inventions.
Tom has wide experience in patent prosecution in the UK and Europe including experience of direct advocacy work at both the UK Intellectual Property Office and European Patent Office. Tom is also training to become a Registered UK and European Trademark Attorney. He also handles copyright and design matters. Tom is responsible for management of the firm’s Chesterfield office.
