Louise Smith B.Sc., M.Sc.
European Patent Attorney
Louise Smith graduated from the University of Birmingham with an honours degree in physics having spent part of her degree course studying at the University of Darmstadt, Germany. She subsequently completed a masters degree in the management of intellectual property at Queen Mary, University of London. Louise joined Wilson Gunn in 2002 and specialises in patent work in particular relating to electronics and optics. She also has experience in handling trade mark matters and her interest in trade marks was further developed during a secondment to Cadbury Schweppes plc where she worked alongside the inhouse trade mark team. Louise is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents and recently sat the final examinations to qualify as a Chartered Patent Attorney. Louise is a qualified European Patent Attorney.
