James McHugh M.Sci. - Associate
European Patent Attorney, Registered Trade Mark Attorney, European Trade Mark and Design Attorney
James McHugh graduated with a masters degree in physics from the University of Nottingham. James spent three years working in the finance and advertising sectors on various projects for a number of leading brands before joining Wilson Gunn in 2007. He is a Member of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and in 2011 he qualified as a Registered Trade Mark Attorney. He also qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2011 and is a student member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, currently training to qualify as a Chartered Patent Attorney. James has represented clients ranging from individual inventors to large corporations. He has experience in a broad range of technologies including green energy, electronics devices, semiconductors, sporting equipment and domestic household products. In 2009, James was awarded the Nicholas Wilson Memorial Award for achieving the highest mark in the Design & Copyright qualifying exam.
