Ian Middlemist
Chartered Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, Registered Trade Mark Attorney, European Trade Mark and Design Attorney
Ian Middlemist has over forty years' professional experience in private practice. Ian qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 1976 and is also qualified as a European Patent Attorney. He joined Wilson Gunn in 1990, having previously practised on his own account. Whilst he specialises in mechanical and electromechanical inventions, Ian also handles patent work from a broad range of other technical fields, including chemical subject matter, particularly with reference to resins and plastics and their uses, and textiles, including paper machine belts and filtration fabrics. In addition, Ian has extensive experience in trade mark and design matters, and is qualified as a Registered Trade Mark Attorney and is a Member of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and a European Trade Mark and Design Attorney. Ian manages Wilson Gunn's Chesterfield Office.
