Helen Brooke graduated with a degree in human genetics from the University of Nottingham and went on to complete a masters degree in computer science at the University of Wales. Helen joined Wilson Gunn in 2004, after obtaining the Manchester University Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law. After a brief spell with another private practice firm, Helen rejoined Wilson Gunn in 2009. She is qualified as a Chartered and European Patent Attorney and has particular expertise in biotechnology, but her practice also covers a range of other technologies including mechanical and computer-related inventions. Helen has wide experience in patent prosecution in the UK and Europe, and in providing infringement and invalidity opinions based on UK law.
