Chris TevlinM.Phys. (Oxon), Ph.D., MInstP - Associate

Registered Trade Mark Attorney, European Trade Mark and Design Attorney

Chris Tevlin graduated with a first class honours masters degree in physics from the University of Oxford. Whilst there, he was awarded the John Thresher Prize for his project in particle and nuclear physics. Chris subsequently carried out research at the University of Manchester and was awarded a Ph.D. in particle physics for his work on top quark phenomenology at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Geneva. This work resulted in two published papers. Chris is a Member of the Institute of Physics.

He joined Wilson Gunn in 2008 and since then he has gained experience in several areas of intellectual property law. Chris predominantly advises on patent matters and deals with a range of technologies including semiconductors, optical systems and imaging, electrical and mechanical inventions and computer software. His practice includes the drafting and prosecution of patent applications and advising on validity and infringement matters. Chris also has experience in a wide variety of trade mark matters, including advising on the use, registration and enforcement of trade marks in the UK and EU. Chris is a Member of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and in 2011 he qualified as a Registered Trade Mark Attorney. He is currently training to qualify as a Chartered and European Patent Attorney.
