Carrie Hodgson M.Chem. (Oxon) - Associate

Chartered Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney

Carrie Hodgson graduated from the University of Oxford, gaining a first class masters degree in chemistry with research in physical chemistry (quantum mechanical modelling). She entered the patent profession with a London practice where she qualified as a Chartered and European Patent Attorney. Carrie joined Wilson Gunn in 2008.

Carrie has wide experience of working with multinational corporations to perform functions such as prosecuting patent applications in the UK and Europe, providing infringement and invalidity opinions based on UK law, and representing clients in Opposition and Appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office. She also has varied experience of drafting and filing applications for SMEs and private inventors. Carrie has dealt with a diverse range of chemical and mechanical subject matter including, fluorocarbons and their uses, printing ink compositions, laundry and dishwasher detergents, airframe components and air conditioning systems.
