
Bruce Marsh graduated from Cambridge University with a masters degree in law. Bruce is a Registered Trade Mark Attorney, having qualified in 1993, a Member of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and a European Trade Mark Attorney. He entered the trade mark profession with a London practice and joined Wilson Gunn in 1996, becoming a Partner in 1998. Bruce heads the firm's dedicated Trade Marks Group. He has extensive experience in all aspects of UK, EU and international trade mark law and practice and in particular is the firm's specialist in the management and conducting of both ex-parte and inter-partes hearings before the Trade Marks Registry and appeals to the Appointed Person. Bruce has considerable expertise in advising on brand and portfolio management and brand protection and enforcement strategies. He deals regularly with contentious matters such as infringement and counterfeiting issues and is responsible for overseeing the running of opposition, revocation and invalidity proceedings before the Trade Marks Registry and the Community Trade Marks Office. Bruce is a former member of the Continuing Professional Development Committee of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and is a tutor for the final level Trade Mark Attorney qualifying examinations.
