Andrew Teasdale B.Sc., Ph.D., CChem, MRSC

Andrew Teasdale has a degree in applied chemistry and was awarded a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Leeds for his research into palladium catalysed cycloaddition and cyclisation reactions. Andrew went on to undertake post-doctoral research at the University of York in the field of environmentally friendly catalysts for use in the chemical industry. Subsequently, Andrew worked in industry as a research and development chemist, developing and optimising synthetic routes for use in industrial scale production and working on analytical methods to monitor production processes. His work has been the subject of a significant number of research papers. Andrew is a Chartered Chemist and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He joined Wilson Gunn in 2006, having begun his training in private practice with another firm. Andrew has obtained the Manchester University Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law and is currently continuing his training to become a Chartered and European Patent Attorney. Andrew specialises in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, catalysis and process development.
